Seven electric fence services across Pretoria

We connect homeowners, body corporates and businesses across the City of Tshwane with independent installers for the services below. Each has its own page that explains what the work involves, the signs that you need it, how an installer usually goes about it and what moves the quote. Where there is a local page for your suburb, it is linked under the service.

Not sure which you need? Describe the boundary and the problem on the contact form and choose "Something else". We will work out which kind of installer to pass it to.

Energizer and battery replacement

The energizer is the heart of an electric fence. When it dies, takes a lightning strike or its battery goes flat in a power cut, the fence does nothing. We connect you with an installer who can test it and repair or replace it.

Electric fence maintenance and servicing

Electric fence maintenance in Pretoria is a regular check that keeps the fence working and finds small problems before they become failures. It is a recurring service, separate from a repair. We connect you with an installer who covers your area.

Electric fencing for estates, complexes and business

Electric fencing for complexes in Pretoria is a different job from a single house. The perimeter is longer, there are more zones, and trustees or managers decide. We connect body corporates, estates and businesses with installers who do this work.

The certificate is its own service

The electric fence Certificate of Compliance is a compliance job, not an installation. A registered installer inspects the fence that is already there, tests it against SANS 10222-3 and, if it complies, issues the certificate. If it does not comply, the installer lists what must be fixed first. People usually need it when they sell a house, when a buyer's conveyancer asks for it, or after work on the fence.

Work on the fence and the certificate are still linked. New installations, repairs, restringing, extensions and upgrades each need a valid certificate once the work is done (source: ECA(SA)). This is general information, not legal advice.

Installation, repair and maintenance are different jobs

A new installation is designed from scratch: the type of fence, the number of strands, the energizer and the zones. A repair starts with diagnosis, because a beeping energizer can mean a flat battery, a short on the line, a broken earth or a failed unit. An upgrade keeps what still works and changes what holds the fence back. Maintenance is a regular check that stops small problems from becoming failures, and we keep it as its own clearly labelled service.

What we do not do

We do not install, repair, test or certify electric fences, set installers' prices or warrant their work. We do not publish prices, ratings or credentials that nobody has confirmed. The installer quotes you directly and is responsible for the work. Read how Electric Fence Pretoria works, and our guide to what moves an electric fence quote in Pretoria.

Tell us about your fence

Send your suburb and what you need: a new fence, a repair, an upgrade or a Certificate of Compliance. We pass it to an installer who covers your area, and the installer quotes you directly.
